A number of valuable electrical items have been stolen from a home on the edge of the town centre.
Between 6.30pm and 6.45pm on Monday, 21st November, the offender approached a semi detached house on Thorneyholme Drive.
He gained entry to the rear garden, via a public pathway, by lifting a wooden fence panel and used a crowbar, or similar item, in an attempt to force the rear kitchen door.
The thief then gained entry to the property by forcing his way through a dry wood panel in the rear conservatory.
Once inside he turned the electricity off at the fusebox and conducted an untidy search of the house stealing a Nintendo Wii, laptop, camera, iPod and cash.
The occupant returned home, disturbing the burglar who made off in the direction of Mobberley Road.
PC Robert Greig said "A male was seen in the area of Church Mews who the police would like to speak to. His description is 18/19 years with shaved/very short hair and about 6ft tall. He was wearing a light coloured hoody."
Anyone with information about these burglaries should contact Cheshire Police on 0845 458 0000 or pass information anonymously using the Crimestoppers number - 0800 555 111.
