A number of valuable items have been stolen from a house on Grove Park in Knutsford.

Offenders broke into the detached house, situated on a quiet residential street, between the hours of 10am and 4pm on Wednesday, 4th January.

They aproached from the front driveway and proceeded to the rear of the property via an alleyway down the side of the house.

They gained entry by using an unknown instrument to smash a glass door panel then used the key, which was situated in the lock of the rear french doors, to unlock the door and enter the house.

Once inside the offenders locked the front door using the yale lock and conducted a tidy search of all the rooms.

Jewellery and a laptop were taken from the property and the offenders left the premises via the rear french doors.

The following day offenders were confronted by an occupant when they broke into a house on Legh Road.

Offenders approached the detached property at 7.15pm.

They used bodily force to break the wooden kitchen door but once inside they were confronted by a resident who punched one of the offenders.

The occupant then made off out the front door, followed by the offenders but nothing appears to have been stolen.

Anyone with information about these incidents should contact Cheshire Police on 101. Alternatively information can be given anonymously on the Crimestoppers number 0800 555 111.
