A number of electrical items and jewellery have been stolen from a house in High Lea over the weekend.

Some time between 8.40pm on Friday, 20th January, and 3.50pm on Saturday 21st, thieves broke into a detached house on Pheasant Walk.

They gained entry to the property via the rear door by smashing the upper glass using a chisel and kicking the cat flap from the lower panel.

Once inside they made an untidy search of the house and stole iPods, games consoles, a laptop, jewellery and cash. They also stole a holdall to transport the goods and exited via the rear door. It is not known if any transport was used.

Anyone with information about this burglary should contact Cheshire Police on 101 or pass information anonymously using the Crimestoppers number - 0800 555 111.
