Sadly more people are at risk of illness and death during winter than at any other time of the year. This is why Cheshire East Adult Safeguarding Board's 'Stay Warm, Stay Well, Stay Safe' campaign is encouraging everyone to be vigilant and give support if needed by being a 'Good Winter Neighbour' and sharing the 'Stay Warm, Stay Well, Stay Safe' information which is available at www.cheshireeast.gov.uk/winter.

The information signposts people to essential winter services - from safeguarding phone numbers to information about flu jabs, homelessness, fuel payments, benefit take up, insulation offers, emergency planning issues, Nominated Neighbour Schemes and more.

The 'Stay Warm, Stay Well, Stay Safe' campaign is now taking to the road, assisted by DoH 'Warm Homes, Healthy People' funding.

Cheshire East Council's Housing Service, Age UK, the Citizens Advice Bureau and fire service colleagues will be joining forces at the road show event to hand out information packs and make people aware of help that can be made available to protect them from the cold.

The aim of the campaign is to make sure that people know where to turn for help when the weather turns cold and conditions are potentially life threatening.

The road show event will be at Booths on Friday, February 24th, from 10am until 2pm.
